✔Rule #1

Keep a master list, and ask your staff to as well, to keep track of notes and ideas as they happen in real-time. If you don’t write it down, you will most likely forget it. Someone may mention something and you’ll think, wouldn’t it be great if we had that at the booth? Put it on the list!

✔Rule #2

Maintain a positive attitude! Face all your challenges with a smile on your face. If something breaks, it’s not the end of the world. Establishing relationships with the people who come visit your booth is far more important.

✔Rule #3

After the show, think of what went well and what could have gone better. Remember your master list? Go back to it, and start planning for next year based on your experience at the show. If possible, have a quick debrief with your staff. If you don’t do it on site, you will forget by the time you get home.

✔Rule #4

Don’t leave your booth unattended. Someone may be interested in your company when walking by, but they will have no one to talk to about this.

✔Rule #5

If a attendee does not seem interested in your product, then do not push it or trap them into talking to you. Let them continue walking – you will eventually find the right attendee that is interested in your product or service!

✔Rule #6

Promotional giveaways that are easily visible are a way to extend your booth’s reach. Hand out big stickers, wearables, light up trinkets, etc and turn it into a game. Those who wear your promo items have a chance to win something big at the end of the show. These are great because the more people you get to wear them, the more others will want one. It’s also a great conversation starter for attendees- and your brand and booth are inserted into that conversation.
